Short Bio

Charly Siaba is a Cuban singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer whose music blends the intimacy of traditional trova with contemporary jazz, funk, bolero, blues, and Latin influences. Classically trained in guitar and piano, Siaba began writing songs at eleven and grew up surrounded by the musical legacy of his grandfather, Sergio Siaba, whose compositions include the Cuban classic “El Cuarto de Tula.”

Born and raised in Havana and now based in Houston, Texas, Siaba has developed an independent career spanning music releases and performances across Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Miami. His work has been featured by Mondo Sonoro through FARO and NPR Music’s Alt.Latino, with “Lejos de Aquí” selected as a standout Latin entry in the 2025 Tiny Desk Contest. In 2026, he joined NPR’s On the Road tour as a headliner in Austin.
